Body shop has never worked after Nightlife was installed. EA GAMES HAS BEEN NO HELP.
is it possible some one can tell me why? I have to download other peoples Sims and clothes cause I can't make my own and I have all the meshes. I had just given up in frustration. This is my last shot at finding out what to do. Please if anyone can assist.

I don't know if this will work but you can try. Download Bodyshop from CNet and reinstall it. Let me know if that works.

yes I agree with christa downloading and installing bodyshop again might help you http://www.download.com/The-Sims-2-Body-Shop-editor/3000-7551_4-10292065.html
i have seen this problem before and usually installing bodyshop will fix the issue but if not you might need to reinstall the game

What's your latest EP? Sometimes the shortcuts don't work anymore once you install a new EP, and you need to open it from your latest expansion instead. Try opening it by going through your program files i.e. mycomputer/c:/ProgramFiles/EAgames then at this point choose the folder for your newest expansion i.e. double click the folder for The Sims 2 Freetime (if thats the latest one you have), then double click the csbin folder.
In here is an icon for bodyshop exe, double click this to launch bodyshop from your latest expansion.  If this works, copy the icon as a shortcut on your desktop for next time.

that's what I've done with all the expansions I have.  I've never had trouble with body shop.
